THE ACTIVATION RITUAL

Here we step into the realm of oral tradition. There are three codified rules.

The horn is never bought for oneself. It must be received as a gift: the giver's good intentions pass through the act of giving. Without that exchange, the object stays inert.

Activation by pinprick. The giver lightly pricks the horn's tip against the left palm of the person receiving it. This practice has no documented historical basis: it is a recent oral custom, now widespread in the workshops and family stories of Naples.

Protecting your spaces. At home, in the office, or in the car, brush the horn's tip across the entrance threshold three times, from inside outward, as if sweeping away unwanted energies. If the horn breaks, it brings no bad luck: it means it has done its job. Folk tradition suggests washing it and throwing it away, or burying it in a plant pot.

Have a question?

How long will my order take to arrive?

Pieces in stock at the workshop ship within 24-48 hours of your order. Once the parcel is on its way, delivery takes 3-5 business days in Italy by tracked express courier. For Europe, 5-8 days; for the rest of the world (USA, UK, Japan, Australia…) 7-15 days depending on the destination.

How do I know I'm buying a one-of-a-kind piece and not a mass-produced replica?

Every piece comes with a numbered authenticity card, signed by the Maestro and bearing the Bottega Capuano mark (working since 1840). It states the Maestro's name, the year, the technique, and the materials. On the underside of the base you'll find the piece's number engraved. It's your guarantee that you own a one-of-a-kind piece, not a cast or a print.

How much is shipping?

– Italy: €8.90, free on orders over €59
– Sardinia: €12.90, free over €99
– European Union: from €9.90, free over €149
– Switzerland, UK, Norway: €39.90 (duties and VAT included, nothing to pay on delivery)
– Rest of the world (USA, Canada, Japan, Australia…): €99.90 (any customs duties, local VAT, or import taxes are the recipient's responsibility)

Prefer to pick it up in person? In-store pickup at our Naples workshop is free.

Are the colors identical to the photos?

Every piece is hand-painted: tiny differences in tone and shading are unavoidable, and they are the signature of a genuinely handmade work. The photos faithfully show the style and level of detail, but your piece will have a personality of its own. That is exactly what makes it unique.

Can I make a return?

Yes, you have 14 days from delivery to return your order, no reason needed. The piece must come back undamaged and in its original packaging. Return shipping is at the buyer's expense.

What payment methods do you accept?

Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Klarna with interest-free payments in 3 installments. All payments are protected by certified encryption.
