The Questions You Ask Us Most
Buying a handmade work isn't like buying any ordinary object.
If you don't find what you're looking for below, write to us, we always reply.
Are your pieces really handmade?
Yes: every single piece that leaves our workshop is handmade by our artisans.
Can I request a custom piece?
Of course. We create custom works on request: complete nativity scenes, shepherd figures with specific features, busts, one-off subjects. Get in touch and tell us your idea, we'll let you know what we can make together.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship across Italy, throughout the EU, and to the UK, Switzerland, and beyond. Every piece is packed by hand with care, so it reaches you exactly as it left our workshop.
What happens if my piece arrives damaged?
Every one of our works is packed with the utmost care and shipped with couriers experienced in fragile items. If it should still arrive damaged, contact us within 48 hours with a photo: together we'll find the best solution: replacement, repair, or refund.
Can I visit the workshop?
Of course, we'd love to have you. We're in Naples, in the heart of San Gregorio Armeno. Come and see us: we'll show you the workshop and tell you the story of the bottega.
How long has the bottega been around?
Since 1840. We're the fifth generation of artisans in the family, carrying on the art of the Neapolitan nativity for nearly two centuries. Our bottega is one of the oldest on Via San Gregorio Armeno.
How do I properly care for a presepe (Neapolitan nativity scene) or a shepherd figure?
Our pieces are made to last. Keep them out of direct sunlight, excessive humidity, and sudden changes in temperature. To clean them, a soft, dry cloth is all you need. Shepherd figures dressed in fabric should be handled gently, especially on the cloth parts.
